Relatively new to DA work starting a (seemingly) great DA job tomorrow

Hi, 25f working in RI/MA. I’ll start off by saying I’m very excited to start this new job, the office is advanced and very organized, the team was all super kind and got me involved during my working interview, work life balance and benefits seem really good too.

I’ve worked as a DA last year but I was struggling very bad mentally at the time so I ended up jumping from office to office after staying anywhere from a day to 2 months at each office. I’m now on stable medication and I’ve held my job for about 8-9 months before seeking out DA work again. I feel I’m finally ready to get back into my passion for dental assisting and this opportunity came and I couldn’t be happier. I loved the office and everyone there and they really liked me and offered me $22 an hour to start which I wasn’t expecting!

Any encouraging advice or suggestions on how to mentally prepare myself for tomorrow??

Beginning treatment for dropsy

After researching intensely how to help my new betta who developed Dropsy I’ve set up the tank and dosed the water. Jasper is now temperature acclimating and will begin his treatment of severe dropsy in a few minutes! I’m using the guide from Jessielbettas substack after it was sent to me. I’m doing it in a 2.5g tank but I made sure to triple check my dosages! I will update with his progress!!

A huge thank you to those who commented on my last post it’s been a huge help!

Pineconing

Hi, this is my new betta I’ve had for about 2 weeks or so. When I got him he was seemingly healthy and quite active. He’s in a 10g tank with a filter and heater. There is driftwood and there WAS a live plant but I removed that plant as it had blue/green/black algae on the leaves. My water parameters have been good but the PH was a bit high at 7.6 I’ve added 7.0 neutralizer to try and fix this issue. My plan right now is to get Kanaplex, methylene blue and Epsom salt. I will move him to a 2.5g tank as his hospital tank. Should I add a filter to the hospital tank? Or should I leave it unfiltered to avoid high flow and filtering out medication?

I’m open to answering any questions about his set up and condition as of right now!
