She calls me a bunny, bite included.

Cute, but maybe a little deluded.

Does she see the steel I hide?

Let’s find out. Let the mirror decide.

Care can be silly, who says it counts for less?

Ten mil on the table, no room to second guess.

She doubles it quick, mid-air, mid-grin,

not fragile, she trusts what's within.

She questions the frame, I widen the lens.

Fluff, yes. But also sharp ends.

She twitches through thoughts like a storm in disguise,

yet honesty burns steady in her eyes.

She tells me, turn off the scope, let go.

Play music, just float.

So I do. I drop the tools, the rules.

Lean back in the melody, play the fool.

She listened wholly, no fragments, no part.

My music slipped straight into her heart.

Perhaps she is not only whimsy, not only rain.

She is the one who hears what I cannot explain.
