I hate that May 4th is ‘Star Wars Day’ solely because of a pun and not any logical reason. I love Star Wars as much as the next person but hearing “May the fourth be with you” makes me cringe. I also learned today that May 5th is “Revenge of the fifth” which I think I hate even more.

Another example is May 8. I’ve heard some ideas that Australia Day should be this date because May 8 sounds like “mate”. Terrible. No thanks. Awful.
