I know river birches aren’t the most structurally sound tree however is there anything to do about this? Obviously it will dry out and hopefully go upright. I’m assuming over time when the branches thicken it will become strong enough to stay upright on its own.

I don’t want to stake it or put straps. I’m just worried that it’s going to snap. Yesterday before the rain it was upright and obviously now it’s at a 90 degree angle. North Carolina zone 7b

TLDR: is there anything to do to prevent limb/trunk sagging or should I just leave it?
