Anyone actually go from visible sebaceous filaments & enlarged pores to smoother looking skin?

(41)Been dealing with this for a while now and I already know the usual pores are genetic talk. I recently read an article saying enlarged pores aren’t just about oil or congestion, but also dehydration and overall texture imbalance, and that going too harsh with actives can sometimes make pores look more visible instead of improving them.

Before that, I got influenced by TikTok skincare influencers so I tried the COSRX Salicylic Acid Cleanser thinking it would help with my pores and sebaceous filaments. It didn’t really do much long term and actually gave me breakouts, so I stopped and went back to a mild cleanser just to calm my skin down again. Now I’m just trying to figure out what actually works without messing up my skin barrier

I’ve been seeing a lot about treatments like microneedling and nano-infusion that are supposed to stimulate collagen, and I came across an article explaining how the real changes don’t happen instantly.. there’s an early glow, but the more noticeable improvements in firmness and texture are expected to build gradually over weeks as collagen remodeling kicks in. For those who’ve tried it consistently, did you actually notice a more youthful look over time, or is the difference more subtle than people make it seem?
