Hey folks, wondering if you can help me solve a mixed memory from my childhood and hunt down a bakery location from the 90s

My family and I used to drive up from the Bronx to high tor pool between 1994-1996 and on the way we would stop at this bakery that from my memory looked like someone converted a house entryway/living room into a bakery. My father would buy these powdered raspberry jam filled donuts and to this day, if i see one in a store I have to buy it chasing for that taste. If I remember correctly it was run by a kind older couple. I only remember the donuts but I remember they were really nice and it was the best sweet treat in the way to an awesome day. I could be mistaking that they were in a pink box, but man were they so good and ridiculously messy to eat in a car .

I couldn’t tell you what route we drove or how we got there because I know one could come up south from Jersey or go north across the bridge - but hoping someone might have this bakery in their memories as well to put this riddle to bed.
