So I need some help. I’m rebuilding a 2010 Speed3. I’ve gotten the engine built. I bought it as a rolling shell and a bucket of bolts that weren’t labeled. I have the engine and trans in the car there’s a few things I’m having issues with. This is my first ever speed 3 I’ve always loved the way the look and sound so I decided to take one on for a project. I am by no means an expert at building cars. This is very new to me so I’m getting pretty confused on a few things. Hoping someone can help so I can hopefully get to drive this thing one day. If any of this sounds dumb I’m sorry lol.
I mounted the trans to the block and put the clutch slave on but I feel like there should be maybe a little more travel on the clutch fork? Everything went together normally. Slid right in. I’m not sure if that makes sense I’ll try to submit a video of how short it is.
Like I said I bought the car stripped. I CANNOT find a diagram anywhere for the grinding points for the engine harness. I know of the passenger engine mount and driver side strut tower. Can’t really find the rest and don’t want to mess anything up from guessing.
I’m not sure if the valve cover I have is different than a regular speed3 or not but breather port on the valve cover in angled down and the hardline I have for it doesn’t fit. Will try to post a pic, just need to know if it’s the wrong one and if I should replace.
There’s a hardline that runs over the transmission that comes from the heater core hoses and ends up near the starter and I’m not sure where the other end is supposed to go. Also I’m missing a hose coming from the oil filter housing. Trying to figure out where that goes and what hose I’m actually missing.
There’s a plug on the wiring harness that I can figure out where it goes. It’s near the turbo area.
I think those are my main issues right now. Im so close to seeing if this thing will turnover and to see if all the damn work was worth it. But I’m stuck. Thanks in advance for any help.
