The Aries New Moon is a trap❗️❗️❗️ Starting action today is a terrible idea.

Everyone's screaming "NEW MOON IN ARIES!! TIME TO START!!"

I'm here to tell you: wait.

Look at the chart. Mars (action, impulse, that thing that makes you text your ex at 2am) is at 6° Aries, crawling toward an exact conjunction with Saturn (walls, delays, reality checks) at 7° Aries on 4/18.

You know what happens when Mars hits Saturn? Crash!

That bold move you're feeling rn? The "I should quit my job" energy? The "I'm finally going to tell them how I feel" impulse?

It's real and valid! But if you act on it today or tomorrow, you're running straight into a brick wall on 4/18

What actually works:

  • Write it down. All of it. The anger, the desire, the "fuck it, I'm doing it" energy.
  • Let it sit until 4/19
  • If it still feels right after Mars passes Saturn, THEN move.

I've been tracking my own impulses vs. planetary timing for two years now (shameless plug: I use Timing for this now, but any transit tracker works). The pattern is painfully consistent. The moves I make when Mars is approaching Saturn? 80% regret rate. The moves I make after the conjunction clears? Completely different story.

So yeah. Feel the fire today. But don't light the match yet.

Anyone else sensing this "hurry up and... actually maybe don't" tension?

Comment “calm” if you are letting the New Moon land before you make your move.

everyone talks about the aries new moon. almost nobody talks about the void period right after it

Everyone loves the exact New Moon moment. Almost nobody talks about what happens right after.

The Aries New Moon perfects at about 7:51 to 7:52 AM ET, and then the Moon stays void of course until about 11:57 AM ET, when it enters Taurus. That means the reset happens first. The cleaner momentum comes later.

This is where people get sloppy. They treat the exact New Moon like the best action window of the day. They want to launch, announce, buy, text, decide, post, and force the whole beginning into one dramatic morning.

I would not use it that way.

Use the exact New Moon to choose the intention. Use the void period right after it to let the reset settle. Journal. Pray. Write the sentence. Keep the morning light. Then once the Moon enters Taurus, do the practical thing that gives the intention a real shape. That is the part people skip, and it is usually the part that matters more.

The real mistake is thinking the New Moon and the action window are the same thing. For this one, they are not.

If you want to make this personal, Timing can show your hour by hour energy curve, whether this New Moon is better used for intention or action, and which life area is actually opening for you.

Comment “settle first” if you are letting the New Moon land before you make your move.
