I have this vague memory of a tv show that I used to watch as a kid about travelling or explorations of the world.

I’m in Canada so it either aired on TVO kids or treehouse. It was in the mid-late 2000s. Maybe even the early 2010s.

I don’t remember a lot of detail but it was live action. The host was a grown man and there was a graphic of a paper airplane on a map in between scenes. He may have had an accent but I’m not sure.

The opening theme was a folksy, boot stomp kind of song. I don’t remember it exactly but it sounded a lot like home by Phillip Phillips (it may have been) or Northern Attitude by Noah Kahan.

I know this is an extremely vague description but this is all I remember and I’ve been trying to figure it out for months.
Also because the memory is so vague I may be misremembering but anything would help.

I found this on my dog. He had a big red welt on his neck and the fur surrounding it was covered in blood. I was cleaning the fur and there were some pieces in it. I thought it was skin that had scabbed over and got lifted but then I found this.

He had a bump in the same spot a couple days ago but I didn’t see a tick or anything. It was just a dark bump.

We found another other tick above his eye a couple days ago but it was much bigger, round and puffy and it was a greyish colour. From my understanding it gets puffy once it has been on the dog for a long time. But this one that I found wasn’t attached to his skin. It was just in his fur.

He has had his annual flea and tick medication that you put on their neck from the vet. But the last dose was back in October.

Is it a tick? Should he see a vet?
