Engagement, not traffic?

Hey there,

I'm new to this. The premise of my podcast is my living room. I hope to chat with friends and listeners about whatever is weighing on them. it's not therapy, just sitting with a compassionate friend and letting the human parts be seen. I'm an anonymous host, and all my guests are anonymous as well.

The goal is to hopes that guest feels like they've had coffee with a friend, someone to hold space, and the listener feels a little less alone. It isn't designed to solve problems, or even give advice, although I suspect that will be part of it.

That's the vision anyway, chatting on a sofa. But right now, it is just me. I want to remain anonymous for various reasons so I don't want to ask the people in my life to take a seat with me or share to my social media I am not sure where to go from here.

I've recorded and published ten episodes so far, and have two close friends listening. So far the episodes are me coming to terms with suddenly being forty with zero self-knowledge or identity external to productivity roles. And I told myself if I make ten episodes I would admit I am actually doing the thing and try to figure out how to find guests. So here I am.

I'm not looking for traffic, to monetize, have sponsors, or be a professional podcast at all. It is too much pressure and I know my brain well enough to know pressure removes dopamine. I just want to have meaningful conversations with intelligent, deeply feeling, or interesting people. and maybe help listeners erst feel less alone by inviting them to take a seat with us.

Anyway, advice on promoting while anonymous? I understand this isn't going to appeal to everyone, or even many, and that's okay. I'm just trying to figure out how to find the people it would speak to?

Thanks so much for your time!

Eta: I misspoke when i wrote "promote" I am looking to engage guests, not increase my visability or market. Thanks!
