So, I work as a high school teacher in a very toxic environment. The leadership knows about various legal and ethical violations, yet they do nothing to make improvements. Also, teaching/learning time is not prioritized here…rather sports and social interactions are in their stead. As an INFJ, this is challenging to be a part of, and I have let them know of my intentions to resign after the end of this school year. Onto the new issue… while I knew I was burnt out, until today, I hadn’t realized that I have become increasingly cold and distant towards the majority of staff in the building… They have started giving nervous stares when I walk past and say nothing. So, I think this mass door slam happened automatically. And I almost feel bad about it. How do I get through these next few weeks? 😮‍💨
