Masuda method struggle!! Is this possible anymore?
I genuinely wasn’t sure where I could ask my question, but I reset my Pokémon Alpha Sapphire copy so I could start a forever save, I wanted to breed the shiny starters in pokemon Y. I don’t have a foreign ditto for the Masuda method, is there any way (no money involved) I can still get one? I didn’t want to purchase another copy of the game and another 3ds to trade… checked the r/morebreedingditto subreddit, it seems like it pertains specifically to switch games.
I tried buying a Japanese copy of platinum which was a waste of money because I don’t have Poke-Transporter downloaded. The game had a Japanese ditto on it but it can’t be traded. I do have Pokemon bank however.
I don’t have the money to buy another 3ds and game cartridge: is there a legit way I can claim a foreign ditto in older games? Or can I not do the Masuda method?
