So sorry for the long message but wanted to if anyone could offer any advice or help....

Last month I started having intense pain in my lower back (right side) and into lower stomach. Pain was pretty constant and I can only describe is as early labour pain/contractions. A dull pulling pressure ache. I went to A&E at the hospital and they used a bedside ultrasound (not very good quality)and said they could see two cysts of around 2cm on the right side but sent me home as said Gynaecology wouldn't do further testing at this stage.

Pain lasted day and night for 2.5 weeks and stopped a few days before my period and throughout my period.

Then this month a few days after my period, the pain came back, more intense than the previous month. Really hard to focus or do anything day to day as the pain is all consuming, mostly situated in my lower right back. Went to A&E again, was there for 8 hours and again told me gynaecology wouldn't see me unless I was crawling and vomiting in pain.

Decided to pay for a private inter-vaginal ultrasound and they found a 4.5cm right adnexa cyst which they called an endometrioma or chocolate cyst. Have sent this to my GP and gynaecology have agreed to repeat the same scan but not for another 3. 5 months. I honestly don't think I cant take the pain for another 3.5 months.

I am due on my period in a couple days and the pain stopped yesterday so I imagine it is following the same pattern as last month.

Has anyone had anything similar? And is there anything you did that helped? I have never had any noteworthy pain associated with my period before and never been told I suffer from cysts or endometriosis. Also have had two children and there was no issue there.

Thanks so much for reading xx
