I would like to update my kitchen a bit.
I am NOT willing to repaint the island or cabinets. Painting the walls is fine. I want new counters on the island and the sides. I would like to go with something lighter. I currently have quartz. Would a greyish marbled counter look good?
I also want a new backsplash. What color tile do you think would match the new countertops? No subway tile but anything else is fine. Again, I would like to go lighter.
I would also like a new bigger cooktop but this area is tricky with the window and the drawers on the side. We currently have a pop-up style vent hood that raises with a push button. I assume we will need the same style because of the window. I have never seen a kitchen with a cooktop placement like the one I have! Has anyone seen this style or have a manufacturer they recommend?
Interior design is not my passion and I never watch HGTV. But I will probably sell this house in a couple years and want to update it a bit.
