So Ive got some fleets set up with those guns that disable a ships drives or whatever, basically makes it so they can't run (in theory).

Can someone tell me why, when I go to attack a pirate, the entire fleet takes 365 business days to close on the target, and why they never actually get within firing range. I'm issuing a command to them from map view, and in a different sector so I think it's still low priority, but every time I try to get them to chase a pirate, the pirate goes in a straight line forever. My ships can ABSOLUTELY catch up, but they always end up dropping out of their warp or whatever before they can even shoot them. I left a fleet alone for half an hour and found them still chasing a pirate, into the middle of nowhere in one of my sectors.

So my question is WHY.

And how do I fix it
