Trying to get an apartment as a student
I am a student who is transferring schools in the fall, unfortunately for me on-campus dorms are reserved for first year students with transfer students being encourage to find off-campus housing. I found an apartment that is near campus with rent being around $670 now my problem is trying to navigate the leasing process. The apartment that i’m interested in will be a lease takeover at a student-housing complex but I don’t know how any the process works. I some money save and have a credit score in the 700s but I won’t have a source on income since I will be quitting my current part-time job (I plan on getting a part-time job once I move and get settled). Do I need a guarantor? My parents don’t have a lot of money of anything and they have my other siblings to worry about so I don’t want to depend on them for that.
