Kennedy Centre Cinema

Was at the cinema in Kennedy Centre tonight watching the Michael Jackson film and the behaviour from a group of wee lads was brutal.

They were sitting behind this woman and spent a good part of the film kicking the back of her seat. She turned round a few times and asked them politely to stop but every time they’d just laugh and start again a few minutes later. Whole thing was pure childish carry on.

Eventually her fella had enough, got up, grabbed one of them by the scruff and told him off. Soon as that happened the kicking stopped completely and they sat quiet for the rest of the film. Funny how that works.

And before anybody starts acting shocked, what exactly are people meant to do now? Sit there and let wee idiots ruin the night because nobody’s allowed to say anything to them? Staff never appear when you need them and half these kids know there’s no consequences anyway.

Cinema etiquette has genuinely gone down the drain. Phones out during films, talking the whole way through it, throwing food, acting like they’re sitting in their own living room. People are paying stupid money now for tickets and snacks just to listen to wee hallions messing about for two hours.

Don’t blame the fella at all personally. If your weans can’t behave in public then maybe they shouldn’t be running about the cinema themselves.
