Help finding sad anime from late 2000’s
Ive been trying to find this anime for years! I only watched one episode on Toonami in elementary. Its starts off with one person dying in another’s arms. The person dying starts telling a story from when they were both young. Then it shows a flashback. There’s an orphanage with some kids ran by an old man. He goes into town to ask for donation from the rich town folk each day. He brings the oldest male orphan, blonde, to play with the rich kids. He makes a friend with a local baker who sales pastries from his kart. The baker gives him a bunch of pastries for all the orphans. Sadly the next time he goes to town the blonde orphan is talking with the baker on a bridge. Then the bully rich kids come and push the baker and his kart into the rushing water. The baker ends up in a coma and the rich kids blame it on the orphan boy. The rich people stop donating. All the orphans die except him and one more I think…..Help please 🙏🏽
