in the recent Warhammer podcast video they confirmed that Battleshock will be a persistent effect in the new editon. Meaning a unit will stay battleshocked until it passes its LD check to un-battleshock.
When you think about armies that induce battleshock you probably think about Nightlords or Tyranids. Shame that we aren't as prolific in breaking the enemy's morale as those armies.
But we still have some ways to force battleshock tests! I could see the value of Wracks going up, as well as some stocks for Incubi.
Thoughts on this?
It would be cool if we got a detachment that plays around with battleshock.
Maybe GW also changes our army rule a bit. Currently we get 1 PT each time a unit fails a battleshock test. However, the test a unit has to take in order to un-battleshock in the new edition is likely a diffrent kind of test (something like a "rally test" etc.). Would be cool if we also get a token when they fail to rally.
