How are yall so good

I think this a lot in all variations of the game as I dabble in ssf, trade, and even the occasional ruthless. I feel the knowledge around crafting and builds and economy that people have regularly far outstrip mine.

As an example, the farming methods recommended especially surrounding 16.5 maps are often rippy as hell and I know my build isn’t great, but I also know in trade I could make it great with time or at least passable with less time. The amount of time I’m putting into every farm whether it’s six links, clusters, harvest, etc. seems like forever. Meanwhile, most posts I see here you have better gear than I do in trade.

I know I get better every league and practice is the best, well, practice, but I feel like there’s some fundamental skill gap or knowledge resource I’m not tapping into. What advice would you give to newer, shittier players?

Feeling gaslit by people over this countertop

Image 1 and 2 are the counters I selected (they let me pick the slab), 3 and 4 are the ones I didn’t want, 5,6,7 are what I got.

I wanted that red/purple coloration with the swirls and I don’t know why I got black/grey linear patterns and everyone is telling me it’s either the basically the same as I chose or that it’s fine cause it looks good anyway (which isn’t the point). Am I losing my mind here?

Edit: countertop slabs are far/close pattern. Not 4 slabs.

How do i farm enlighten, enhance, empower?

Got a lot of suggestions from a lot of old time frames when I googled this, none recent. Enlighten would take an absolute load off my passive tree and let me swap to my clusters. Empower is just massive for damage. I already have an enhance from an astrolabe :D it's for my golems

Edit: thanks for the answers. Was already farming astrolabes and it’s been taking forever so I’ll try labs and post updates in a few days

How do you go about your atlas progression? I feel like I am usually very slow and farming a bit before running voidstones is usually a good strat, but is it better to just blast even if the red maps are a little slower to get through?

New to SSF, not sure how to balance atlas progression with farming. Can't farm juiced content in t16s, but can get my voidstones. Is it even worth getting my voidstones or should I be farming lower level maps in the hopes of better gear?

I have onslaught uptime pretty well in maps, forgot to check that, and deadly ailments for bosses instead of multiple projectiles. Currently farming tujen hoping for enhance, empower, or enlighten. Also need my 5th scarab slot so I can farm scarabs

Another Edit: Thanks for the advice. I already had one voidstone and since this post I've filled out my atlas completely. Still not sure how to speed up or balance completing the atlas generally, but for my specific case I am absolutely farming a t17 map then grabbing scarabs from a juiced map so I can farm what I need before tackling some of the tougher bosses and maps and activities. I'll probably do one final edit in a day or two to discuss how it went in case anyone else trying ssf stumbles upon this in the future. Also if anyone stumbles upon this feel free to ask questions. Time will have passed and if everything goes well I will be wiser for it. Stay Sane Exiles

I actually have a lot of questions, being new to ssf, but didnt want to spam and clutter chat. Scarabs are definitely a limiting factor in my ability to farm. What are the best ways to get them? Also, who should I look up for ssf specific information because some of the guides have not worked for me so far
