Pool problems

So I’ve never had this issue before. Ph is on point, as is alkalinity. Got tabs in the floater. Got chlorine where it needed to be as it was a little low, and shocked it with 3lbs last night. Didn’t seem to touch this stuff. Filter was backwashed and rinsed. Sand was replaced at the start of last year. Not sure what’s going on. Gonna take a sample this week to get it tested at the store but figured I’d check here. I hit it with a flocculant about two hours ago, gonna see if I can get it all to settle and vaccine it out and hit it with another big shock.

I was reading about mustard algae but everything seems to say it sinks and sticks to surfaces, this stuff is floating and when you try and skin it then it just breaks up and goes right through the skimmer.

Had the pool 8 years and have never had anything like this that I just couldn’t get to go away
