I’ve read a little bit about this, about men being allowed to marry 4 wives and have infinite amount of sexual relations with enslaved/concubine women.

I don’t get it. It’s very confusing and I know a lot of people will try to explain it in terms of it was an old cultural practice but it’s islamically allowed. How can that be?

It doesn’t even sound like something Islam would allow. How is that fair to the women? To be nothing but sexual objects with practically no rights to inheritance or anything because men don’t have to marry them?
