Must be an interesting time to be a millennial. Your most successful friends own houses but are swimming in debt, while some of your slacker friends are becoming millionaires overnight when they inherit their parents' real estate portfolios.

Having middle class parents used to mean inheriting the family silver set, now having middle class parents might be the difference between affording retirement or not, let alone future homeownership.

Has there ever been a more significant generation gap in terms of opposing groups of people who want different things, in a zero-sum game?
