2 months pa lang sa BIR pero burned out na agad. Thinking of resigning and becoming a VA pero not English fluent

Hi everyone. 26F CPA. I just want to ask for advice because honestly sobrang drained na ako mentally and emotionally.

2 months pa lang ako working sa BIR pero pakiramdam ko sobrang pagod na agad ako. The workload, pressure, environment, and stress are starting to affect me badly. Every day parang ang bigat na pumasok and I’m questioning if this is really the career path for me.

Before BIR, I worked in tax accounting in Pasig. So my background is mostly:

Tax/accounting work

Handling documents and compliance

Email coordination and reports

Government/tax-related processes

Because of this, I’m thinking maybe mas bagay sakin mag-transition into being a VA/bookkeeping/accounting VA instead. I keep seeing people shift to remote work and parang mas okay yung work-life balance and flexibility.

Pero honestly natatakot din ako:

Is leaving BIR too early a bad decision?

Sayang ba yung government opportunity?

Stable ba talaga pagiging VA ngayon?

Kaya ba mag-shift from accounting/government work to remote freelancing?

I know 2 months sounds very short, but I really feel exhausted already. I’d appreciate honest advice and experiences. Thank you.

For those who left corporate/government jobs and became VAs or remote workers:

Worth it ba?

How did you start?

Did your stress levels improve?
