I built an app to stop myself biting my nails, it trains a tiny AI on your exact habit and buzzes your wrist the moment you start [4–6 testers wanted]

I've struggled with nail biting my whole life, especially during stress or deep focus, and most of the time I don't even realize I'm doing it until after it happens.

So I built WatchGuard, a Wear OS app with an Android companion.

Here's how it works:

  1. Tap "Train" and demonstrate your habit a few times, it could be nail biting, scratching, smoking, any repetitive hand movement
  2. A lightweight AI model trains directly on your phone using your watch's motion sensor data (fully private, no cloud processing, nothing leaves your device)
  3. WatchGuard continuously monitors wrist motion and triggers a response the moment the habit begins, often before you consciously register it

You pick the response:

  • Gentle vibration (default)
  • A sharper alert

The model learns your exact gesture, not some generic wrist raise. That personalization is what I'm most proud of and what I most need to stress-test across different people and different habits.

What I need from testers:

  • You have a habit you'd genuinely want to stop (nail biting, scratching, skin picking, smoking, phone checking all work, anything with a hand movement)
  • ~30 minutes over a week to use it and report back
  • Honest feedback, especially on false positive rate (fires when it shouldn't) and false negative rate (misses when it should fire)

4–6 people max so I can actually respond to everyone. Please DM me or comment below.
