Hi everyone,
I’m trying to understand what’s realistically possible for my situation and would appreciate advice from people with experience.
I’m a Syrian resident and I want to build a small online business (SaaS / digital services). My goal is to:
- Register a company (LLC or equivalent) in a country that supports online businesses
- Open a business bank account or EMI account that actually works for international payments
- Use Stripe (or a similar payment processor) to accept card payments from customers
I’ve been researching options like Wyoming LLC, Estonia e-Residency, and UK LTD, but I keep running into conflicting information about banking and Stripe approval, especially for people outside supported countries.
What I’m trying to understand:
- Is it realistically possible to get Stripe access while living in a restricted country like Syria?
- Which countries are actually practical for company formation + banking for remote founders?
- What setups are commonly used by freelancers or founders in similar situations?
- What are the main things that usually cause accounts to get rejected or closed?
I’m not trying to do anything shady, just looking for a stable, compliant way to receive payments for online work.
If anyone has gone through something similar or has experience with international setups, I’d really appreciate your insights.
Thanks in advance.
