Hi everyone, I need some advice about a rental situation in Abu Dhabi.

I paid a security deposit for an apartment, but I never signed the tenancy contract. After that, I changed my mind and decided not to go ahead.

Can the landlord or agent legally keep the deposit in Abu Dhabi if no contract was signed, or should it be refunded?

There was no final signed tenancy agreement, and I am trying to understand what my rights are under Abu Dhabi and UAE law.

Has anyone dealt with something similar, or knows the legal position on this?
