I'm looking to have one or two custom hats made and don't have a hard budget. I love Wild Hats' videos, customer service approach, and enthusiasm for his craft. From the videos I've learned about additional features in a hat I did not know I wanted until he showcased it. My wife originally turned me on to his Instagram.

But the signature golden nail is an issue. I absolutely do not want an extra hole in my hats nor a golden nail as an embellishment. He won't sell a hat without it. So I'm taking thousands of dollars elsewhere to a local maker in the Salt Lake - Wyoming area.

Am I being unreasonable or is he accidentally leaving money on the table from multiple serious buyers like me?
