I'm mostly a traditional artist that works in graphite. I've just swapped sketchbook to do something new so instead of the 8.5x5.5 sketchbook I've used for the last maybe 3 or 4 years I'm experiment with a 7x7 and a 5x5 but a new problem I haven't had to deal with for a while has come up. I used to use transparent sticky notes to keep my graphite drawings from smearing and transferring to different pages because their is a transparent sticky note size thats almost the same size as the pages for my old sketchbook! My new problem is that their are none of these sticky notes for my new books. I'm trying to find out what I should use to seal my works now. I'm leaning towards mod podge mostly but I don't know if that would cause problems on the paper I'm using (bad warping, ripping up the page, ect) so I'd love advice. The paper in my 7x7 is 70 lb, heavyweight, acid-free paper and the one in the 5x5 is 98 lb, heavyweight, acid-free paper. Do y'all think that using mod podge would be a problem? I know there is finishing spray but having to be in a well ventilated area and having to do multiple layers is a little bit of a deal breaker for me. Any help would be great honestly!
