New Graduate Nurse

Hey everyone, I’m a soon-to-be new grad nurse from Canada and I’m seriously considering moving to Buffalo, NY after graduation. I was wondering how difficult it is to get hired as a new grad RN in the Buffalo area and which hospitals are considered the best for new nurses starting out.
I’m open to med-surg, telemetry, stepdown, or pretty much anything to get my foot in the door and build experience. I’d love to hear from anyone who works in Buffalo hospitals or recently started there as a new grad.
Which hospitals are the most new-grad friendly?
Which ones have the best nurse residency/training programs?
Any hospitals I should avoid?
Also curious about work culture, staffing, and general pay differences between systems if anyone’s willing to share. Thanks!

I am a new graduate RN in Southern Ontario and I’m honestly struggling to find solid new grad opportunities here.
I’ve been thinking about possibly working in the U.S. (Buffalo or Detroit), but I have no idea how realistic that is as a new grad.
For anyone who’s done this or looked into it:

Is it hard to get hired in the U.S. as a new grad from Canada?

Do most places require experience first?

How long did the visa process take (TN visa, VisaScreen, etc.)?

What does the tax situation actually look like working in the U.S. but living in Canada (or moving there)?

I’ve heard mixed things, like higher pay and more opportunities, but also a lot of paperwork and delays.
Any insight, experiences, or advice would be really appreciated!
