I got back into biking about a year ago and, at 45, realized I had spent most of my adult life on box-store “dad bikes.” Somewhere along the way, I fell hard for the 90s MTB style I loved as a kid and older steel bikes in general.
That led to me quickly amassing an assortment of Marketplace finds to tinker with, learn on, and slowly bring back to life with help from a friend, YouTube, and this subreddit.
This is one of my first project bikes. It’s a mix of good stuff like Velo Orange, and a few Amazon specials, but I’m pretty happy with how it came together.
Thanks to everyone here for the inspiration. This community has definitely helped push me down the rabbit hole.
