I work 8 hours a week at another part time job. I got fired from my main source of income. Well, they're saying I "presumably resigned" (I did not resigned) by not working. I was employed but working dwindling hours due to health issues which my employer was aware of, but these health issues were not present at the start of my employment. They're saying "how can we terminate someone who's not working?" Like... I'm still your employee and I Didn't Quit.

My question is, should I file for unemployment and mark it as termination? Or will I get rejected because I'm not actually "unemployed." I make barely above minimum wage at the other part-time job and I cannot get any more hours there.

Hey all, I was getting told I had the option to resign or they could terminate me and I could claim unemployment. They said I waited too long and since I haven't worked (due to health issues), it automatically counts as a resignation. I want to speak to someone who knows about unemployment but I don't have the money for a consultation fee. I called student legal services and they said unemployment isn't an option for them, and they didn't give me great options for alternatives. Does anyone know what I should do right now... 😐 Any help or advice is appreciated.
