I just purchased the whole collection of Samples from Mars, and I feel I will have fun with this. It sounds amazing.
This is the first time I'm buying a pack of samples and I'm unsure what's the best way to use them. I have Ableton projects but also WAV folders. I want to know what's the most efficient way to include them in Ableton as I couldn't understand yesterday.
- Kits: Some of the packs are actual Kits (like the 808 from Mars) and when I click on the project file, it opens it. I can see it in my kits list, but once I open another pack... It didn't appear in my list of kits. How can I save it simply? And maybe build my own kit with some elements?
- Loops: Other packs are loops (like drums, FX...) I think the best for me is to include it in my sample manager (ADSR) rather than opening the project file every time to start a new project. Agree it's the best thing to do?
- Instruments: I found also some packs with instruments like guitars, flute etc... Not sure what's the best approach for this. Can I include it in my instruments? Maybe create a specific folder just for the Samples for Mars? Or find a way to include it automatically in the right sub-group in my instruments collection?
I'm still at the beginning of my journey, I used plug-ins before but never bought samples packs like this before. It was just WAV files, so I just integrated it in ADSR, but here I'm confused with so many files (ex: Guitar notes recorded for each and every note! So ADSR doesn't seem the right option. Same for the kits)
Hope you can help a newbie to enjoy the journey further
