Guys what actually happened to Nick Wall last night?? I need answers

Ok to give some context, I’ve been watching and playing squash for years, travelling to venues, watching regional and pro matches, the whole thing. Squash is life.
I don’t get shocked easily TBH

But last night I was literally sitting there like….. what am I watching right now??

11-2, 11-1, 11-6 Against Elias. STRAIGHT. And honestly the scoreline still doesn’t tell you how wild it actually looked.

Nick Wall is a proper player. Love watching the guy and for sure this is not a hate post at all guys, honestly is kinda the opposite. Because watching that match made me feel SAD. Like actually sad and anxious. He looked like he wanted to be literally anywhere else on the planet. No fight, no legs, nothing. At some point I was just hoping someone would stop the match, first time in my life i had this feeling during a match.

And THEN the commentators start talking about the best effort rule and a possible PSA investigation??
Bro my jaw dropped.
So now I’m sitting here like, was he sick? Food poisoning? Some injury nobody knew about? Because if his team knew he was in that state and still sent him out there that’s wild. And if they didn’t know… that’s somehow even wilder.

Has anyone heard anything? Any statement from Nick or his team? Maybe someone with a lot of experience can explain it to me ? Cuz I genuinely can’t make sense of what I saw last night and I need closure lmao
Hope he’s alright though fr 🙏
