Is Diablo 3 still worth playing on PS5 in 2026? Looking for opinions (Diablo 3 vs Diablo 4)

Hey everyone,

I’m considering starting Diablo 3 on PS5 and I keep reading very different opinions online, so I wanted to ask people who actually play it.

- Performance on PS5 -

How does Diablo 3 perform on PS5? I understand it’s still technically the PS4 version running through backward compatibility. Does it feel smooth and stable? Are loading times noticeably faster compared to PS4?

- Graphics & Overall PS5 Experience -

I know there isn’t a native PS5 upgrade, but does the game still feel modern enough? Does the faster hardware improve the overall experience even if the visuals are the same as PS4?

Are the visuals remotely comparable to more modern arpgs?

- Ease of Entry -

How easy is Diablo 3 to get into today for someone starting fresh? Is it beginner-friendly or does it take a long time before the game really opens up?

- Content Variety -

Is there enough variety in activities long term? I’m curious about Adventure Mode, Rifts, Seasons, etc. Does the gameplay loop stay interesting after the campaign?

- Build Variety -

How much freedom is there with builds? Are there multiple viable endgame builds per class, or does everyone eventually run the same setups?

- Endgame -

How good is the endgame nowadays? Is Greater Rift pushing still engaging and rewarding, or does it become repetitive quickly?

- Diablo 3 vs Diablo 4 -

This is the main reason I’m asking. I often read that Diablo 4 looks better but still isn’t amazing, while Diablo 3 is considered extremely polished and just fun.

Do you agree with that? Is Diablo 3 actually the better overall experience right now, especially on console?

Would love to hear your experiences — especially from people playing on PS5.

Thanks!

EDIT: Thanks for all the replies. D4 is the better option, clearly. Not really able to accept the 40 euro price tag as of now.

As someone watching from outside the United States, I genuinely struggle to understand what’s happening in American politics right now.

From my perspective, everything surrounding Donald Trump has reached a point that almost feels surreal — like a political soap opera that keeps getting more unbelievable. If someone had described today’s situation five years ago, I think many people around the world would have assumed it was impossible.

I understand that the U.S. is traditionally divided between Democrats and Republicans, often roughly 50–50. I also understand that there is a strong conservative movement, that Trump has a loyal base, and that the MAGA movement has created a powerful political identity for many supporters.

What I struggle to understand is this: even if about half the country leans conservative or Republican, does that really mean that a large portion of that group — potentially a quarter of the entire country — still actively supports Trump?

From the outside, that feels difficult to reconcile. The United States is full of highly educated, thoughtful people across the political spectrum, so I find it hard to understand how support for one political figure can remain so strong despite the controversies and events of recent years.

So my honest question to Americans is:

How large is Trump’s real support today, and why does it remain so resilient?

I’m asking this sincerely and respectfully — I’m genuinely trying to understand the social, cultural, and political dynamics inside the U.S., not to provoke or attack anyone.

(Yes, I did use AI to rewrite my message since it was probably full of errors).
