Right now I am looking at a Sherline 2000 14" CNC ready mill and kit with the stepper motors and driver #(8770) I already have the software and a compatible computer so what else would I need to make it work? From what I've learned Sherline is consistently mentioned as a good mill for my use but is there a better option i should be looking at?
A good 90% of the time it will be for hobbyist use making small custom parts for cars, bikes, guns, RC and alike the other 10% it will for other applications that justify the cost of the machine. I've used an old manual mill plenty and a real CNC a handful of times but I have never touched one of these.
