I won an auction and these chairs came as extras with the pieces wanted. I didn't think much about them until I used Google Lens and found they could be Spanish Colonial or New Mexican Ladder-Back Chairs. Based on my research they seem to be original (100-150 years old?) with no signs of restoration except for the seats– they are a woven rush, possibly painted black by an antique dealer to prolong them (I'm told this was common). Can anyone confirm this info or tell me more about them?
