Arbor Farm Nursery
I am beginning to dabble into native plants, and one place in Fort Wayne felt like the right place to buy them.

Arbor Farms Nursery had the friendliest staff. I went in with a rudimentary idea, and they assisted me in a way that felt old school in the best way. I also worry sometimes, as I look obviously progressive, but felt welcomed there.
Just north of Kroger off Dupont, you can find this nursery. While they have the typical selection of flowers, trees, and shrubs, they also have a decent native selection.
The native plants have a sign that points them out from the rest, but are spaced out throughout the grounds.
I asked a lady for a flowering shrub with specific sun and soil specifications, and requested native plants only. While she didn't know the answer, staff have walkie-talkies to communicate to each other. Everyone working there gave their thoughts, and we were able to determine a selection from there.
Now, they are expensive haha
I ended up paying $255 for four shrubs, but I really think that if you have the money, it's worth going there. They also have a warranty on plants if you don't have a green thumb! I was just going to window shop but they were so nice so I grabbed stuff lol
