Diabetic Amyotrophy

First and foremost, I have an appointment with my PCP in 2 days to discuss this so I'm not seeking medical advice from reddit. But in the meantime, I'd like to know anyone has experience with this rare complication and can share their experience?

I am having pain in one thigh and I meet all the criteria listed on Mayo Clinic site (except for age) so although it's quite rare, I am going to check it out. The pain is mild to moderate, no swelling or discoloration, no recent injuries, I'm at a loss what else it could be. 4 days of pain (unlike a muscle strain) in just one thigh out of nowhere is bizarre.

I take Mounjaro for glucose control but also lost 50 pounds in the last 9 months - strict whole food diet since August. Besides the first month, I've been at 5mg the entire time and my nausea and food aversions have improved a lot the last couple months. Since my last two a1cs were 4.7 and 4.8, I've been allowing myself a couple small treats each week (doctor approved this). Last night I bought my favorite ice cream (I think the first time I've tasted ice cream since August) and I didn't even enjoy it! I got no joy from it whatsoever. My taste buds have really changed I guess. Anyone else experience this?

This recipe has helped me lose 50 pounds (25% of my body weight) since August and keeps my glucose stable (I'm T2 diabetic, a1c is now 4.8)

Rotisserie Chicken

Canned Butter Beans (drained)

Frozen Chopped Spinach

Chicken Broth

Orzo

Boursin Garlic Cheese Cubes

You can play around with ingredient measurements, I often eye ball it depending on how much meat I get off the chicken

Add ingredients to a casserole dish

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes

Stir and let sit for 5 min before serving

I can get at least 5 meals out of this high protein meal!
