M81-82

Ive finally got a good night and a few hours for this years first galaxy.

90x30sec @ iso3200

Sharpstar 76edph @ 345mm

Canon600d

20 darks

Stacked, background extraction and stretch in siril, starnet star removal, starless, stack and starmask recombined manually in pixlr after applying denoise mask and color balance. The second photo is a less cropped edit that shows more neigbor galaxies.

This shot is a cropped version..i have a larger version that shows the more of the neighbor galaxies but the reddit compression might not work well with it.

Cock feather orientation

Does anyone shoot with the odd vane at 6 oclock on drop away rests? ..im curious because doing that would give a good amount of extra clearance for my slider...right now with the vane at 12 or 9 oclock i hit the housing around 75 yards, if i flipped to 6, id potentially get an extra 10 yards out of it and be able to stretch out to 85 yards.

The tought just dawned on me and i wonder if anyone does it..i havent tried it yet but probly will give it a shot tomorrow.

First proper images of the moon i took in november 2024 with my C8/600D combo. Not a video stack, these ones are approx 50 stills or so stacked and with a bit of sharpness and clarity boost from post processing in pixlr

Not perfect, collimation, acquisition and processing could have been much better but i still love them.
