And I say this as someone who finds Peggy insufferable in many, many episodes.

Peggy is an insecure, egotistical woman. She’s also someone who goes above and beyond for Bobby while also deferring to Hank when needed.

Obviously, she also took Luanne in without hesitation and was the mother she needed. And there are times where she takes Connie under her wing, too.

I think one of my favorite things about Peggy truly is that she lets Bobby learn his own lessons as the show goes on. She’s not a helicopter parent nor does she take the Nancy approach of just letting Dale handle everything.

Peggy is a good mother. So happy Mother’s Day to her.
