Hi everyone,

I recently picked up a Nikon Z50 and I’m a complete beginner to photography (only used a smartphone until now). I really want to dive deeper into manual settings and get the most out of this camera.

Do you have any specific tips for the Z50?

  1. Which settings (ISO, autofocus modes, etc.) are a good starting point for a newbie?
  2. At the moment i havent decided what types of photos I want to shoot in the futre, I guess a mix out of Landscape, Architecture/Streetphotography and some Motorsport photography. I have the kit lenses dx 16-50 f3.5-6.3; dx 50-250 f4.5-6.3, would you consider them a "decent" beginning for someone starting out? Any tips for lenses i can get in the future.
  3. Are there any specific "hidden gems" in the menu I should know about?

Looking forward to your advice. Thanks!
