I'm exploring whether one of the third party adapters to dump the collected leaves directly into a trash can could be made to work with this leaf vac. 

I have not purchased the tool yet, and my local HD store doesn't have any, so I can't measure it myself.

Can someone please tell me the outside diameter of the output port?
