I’m new to urban exploring. I’ve visited a few abandoned manors and structures, but I’m still pretty inexperienced. I’ve also climbed to the top of a store and a sports hall before.

I’m now considering climbing an IKEA sign that’s around 30–35 meters tall. There’s a ladder going all the way up, starting about 1.5 meters off the ground.

For people with more experience in climbing structures like this, what are some important things beginners often overlook? Any advice regarding gear, weather conditions, visibility, etiquette, or legal consequences if caught would be appreciated.
