A couple nights ago, I did a hex/ what I’d been calling a karmic jar on an ex who had cheated on me and the girl before me with the intention of him getting some of his karma and bringing down his insanely high ego so maybe he could be a little more humble afterwards and things could be put into perspective for him so he would be less awful. Almost immediately after the hex, I did a quick tarot reading to ask Soirit if there was any chance the hex would work (I know I’m not supposed to do this I was just curious in the moment and was honestly scared of backfire bc I know I got a little too emotionally charged as I was doing the hex) and I got kind of vague answers compared to what I normally get. Ever since then, I’ve had some random bad luck like trying to doordash the next night and having three drivers cancel before one told me the store that is normally open 24/7 had closed as well as water spilling on my laptop yesterday and it now not turning on (these could be coincidences plus I’ve had a history of being a naturally unlucky person already but it’s hard to not think it’s the hex rn). Without giving out too much, vodka was used in the hex and the final place I put the jar was in the freezer but I’m not sure if the fact vodka doesn’t freeze has anything to do with it. I have also heard sometimes a little backfiring means the jar is working so I don’t know. What I’m wondering is if you think I should disassemble, cleanse, and throw away the hex and give up on it or if any of it is normal and I should keep the jar in the freezer still. I would bury the hex but I live in an apartment in the city so there aren’t many places I can really go to bury it without getting in trouble. Let me know what you guys think, thank you!!!

I have not formally worked with a deity before minus some minor communication with Hecate in the past but I never formally started working with her honestly because I was nervous and starting with her felt overwhelming. Because of this, I have never been the type of person to seek out deities on my own to work with me and have focused on my solo practice. Recently, I have seen “The Birth of Venus” painting of Aphrodite SO OFTEN as in I saw it four separate times in one day and have seen it many times since which is why I think Aphrodite may be reaching out. I do have a mini statue of Aphrodite in my apartment with a little bowl she is holding that I had not put anything in until today when I put some rose quartz in. I have not received any of Aphrodites typical signs like swans or doves which is why I am not 100% sure if she is reaching out or not. (Then again I am an art major so reaching out to me through art could mean something) I would love to hear any opinions on how you would interpret this because I don’t want to be one of those people who reads too much into things and goes all delulu and is like “oH wElL hAdEs AsKeD mE tO mArRy HiM” like ppl would specifically do in 2020 lol so lmk what you guys think. I’m planning on doing a hex coming up and I want to be able to maximize it by listening to music during the process. I am conflicted if I should listen to music that is just special to me, music that makes me feel spiritual, music that was shared between me and the person I am hexing that makes me sad, or music that I’ve previously used to kind of channel the sadness into anger more. If anyone has any idea of what you think would work best to maximize the hex so I can put the most emotions and intentions into it pleaseee let me know I really want to make a playlist to help set intention.
