Not a KSpa but I went to Russian Turkish Baths in Miami today and was very disappointed.
It was during the general coed hours, so had to keep my bathing suit on.
The place seemed very dirty. The hot tub room had a distinct smell (not a nice one). The smell of food from the restaurant spread through the whole place.
The steam room and saunas were all very hot. No relief anywhere for a less hot sauna you can stay in longer and really sweat. And all the handles to get out were metal with no protection from burning your hands.
The locker room was quite small. When I first came in the main door from the entryway into it was propped wide open. And there’s a door on the other side that leads to the hot tub room. Where my locker was, if I was standing at it and the door opened, anyone in the hot tub could see directly in. I don’t care about people seeing me naked but I don’t want to offend anyone in the coed hot tub not expecting it. I don’t think many people use it though because when I was drying off and a staff member opened the door, he apologized. It’s shocking a staff member would be surprised to see someone naked in a locker room at a spa!
The locker room only had one toilet and one urinal and one shower. The shower had a door on it but no light inside, so I kept the door open. It also clearly hadn’t been cleaned well, but since I had been out at the beach and pool all day I needed to shower badly before I got dressed.
Speaking of the beach, the only redeeming factor about this location is that you get access to the condo’s pool and beach. But no beach chairs or umbrellas to use and since you only get two small towels, I did not really want to take one out to get sandy on the beach.
I didn’t realize how spoiled I’ve been by the nice clean Korean spa I went to.
