Does anyone on this sub have experience with losing a testicle and decrease/surpressed testosterone?
I’m a 28 y.o male. At 23 I was diagnosed with testicular cancer and had to lop lefty off. Also had to do 4 rounds of BEP chemo which was… not so fun lol.
I was told by my oncologist that after losing a testicle the other one should “pick up the slack” and my test levels should get near what my pre orchiectomy levels were. In the last few years I’ve noticed a decrease in my libido, worse energy, and a much harder time making progress in the gym. I finally went to get my testosterone levels checked, and was not surprised to find the results were 180 ng/dl. I slept 9 hours before the test, exercise daily, and eat relatively clean.
Does anyone on this sub have experience with unilateral orchiectomy effecting their testosterone levels? I’m considering perusing TRT, but have some concerns as far as fertility goes and stuff. My wife and I are planning on starting to have kids in the next 2-3 years.
TLDR; lost one testicle and have clinically low test for my age. Anyone else have any experience/knowledge on this?
