I’m looking for some clarity on the maintenance schedule for my Palisade. Based on my driving habits and the manual, I believe I qualify for the "Severe" maintenance schedule, but my Bluelink app is telling me otherwise.

I just went in for my first oil change, and my mechanic—after reviewing the manual's severe service requirements—recommended a list of immediate "milestone" services including:

• Brake fluid flush
• Spark plug replacement
• Coolant flush
• Differential fluid service
• Possibly other things ...

He saw the "R" next to codes and said that meant replacement.

The estimate for all of this is roughly $1,400, which was a massive shock for a first visit.

I have already emailed Hyundai Warranty for official clarification, but while I wait:

1. For those in the "Severe" category, what are the real requirements to honor the warranty?
2. Are there specific items in that list that are incorrect from my mechanic?
