I’m an early-stage SaaS founder from Bangladesh building an AI SaaS product, and honestly the payment situation is becoming one of the biggest struggles.
We recently applied to LemonSqueezy and got rejected. They didn’t clearly explain the exact reason, but I’m guessing it’s because we’re still very early-stage without much traction/history yet.
Now I’m also hearing Paddle has become very cautious about approving newer AI SaaS products recently.
The frustrating part is:
- we can build the product
- we can get users
- we can market it
…but actually receiving global subscription payments legally from Bangladesh feels incredibly difficult.
Stripe isn’t officially supported here, PayPal has limitations, and setting up a US LLC + banking is expensive when you’re bootstrapping and still validating the idea.
Would really appreciate advice from founders who started from unsupported countries:
- What worked for you in the early days?
- Did you validate first before opening a US company?
- Any gateways/platforms still approving small AI SaaS startups?
- How did you handle subscriptions initially?
Trying not to give up, but this part has been genuinely discouraging.
