Apart from the immediate response of sustain oneself, Im wondering what makes us choose to do this work daily?

As digital marketers, why do you do what you do?
When tracking brands on AI tools like chat GPT, Gemini etc. What’s the most important thing to be looking for?
- brand mention? - for AI visibility score? - whatever that means in a non deterministic system?
- citations - context of brand visibility?
- sentiments - what the users are saying about you?
Are these the right signals? ^ what else would you be looking for? also how would you measured these without any tools?
